Bus from Zihua to Puerto Escondido
Hola,
Is there a bus that leaves from Zihua and goes to Puerto Escondido, but I would avoid transferring buses in Acapulco? It would be for sometime around Wednesday December 17 or Thursday 12/18.

I seriously doubt any bus passing through Acapulco is not going to stop there since a direct bus from Zihuatanejo to Puerto Escondido really doesn't make sense for any busline due to such low demand and frankly doesn't seem like a realistic expectation. Transfers really are no big deal. I wouldn't let that be an obstacle to my travels. Often if you're industrious and check other buslines in the terminal or with Estrella de Oro (they have their own terminals) you can find a different luxury class busline leaving sooner than if you stick with the same busline.

Thanks for the reply...I will plan on taking a bus from Zihua to Acapulco (leaving early morning), and then find a bus that leaves from the Acapulco terminal to Escondido, maybe an overnight one. I prefer to not spend any more time than I have to in Acapulco.
I am looking forward to returning to Zihua for a visit in December!

Hola, I've traveled from Zihuatanejo to Puerto Escondido by bus twice. First time using Estrella de Oro, second time I left from the main bus terminal. (Can't remember the name of the bus line.) Either way, you must go through Acapulco.
Anyway, I left very early (4:30am) the second time around, arriving Acapulco about 3 1/2 hours later. Connected to Puerto Escondido bus line (different bus company) but, in SAME bus terminal that I arrived in from Zihuatanejo. Bought ticket to PE there. Waited about an hour for the connecting bus and arrived in PE about 7 hours later. No overnight in ACA. The Estrella de Oro bus line lets you off in another terminal in Acapulco, necessitating a taxi ride accross town.
