So Good To Z You!

My mother has one of the world's most gifted gardeners looking after her interests. While Lupita and I were visiting her yesterday we couldn't help but marvel at her beautiful blooming water hyacinth. It was cut from a plant in Laguna de San Valentín around 2 decades ago and somehow she's kept it going all these years.

Sometimes the the most interesting scenes can be found where you least expect them, including right in the middle of one of Ixtapa's oldest residential areas. Here's a small shrine to Mexico's patron holy figure Guadalupe aka Tonantzín in the foreground framed by bougainvillea with a majestic red-barked gumbo limbo or cuajiote tree towering over some banana trees and a rather odd looking catamaran in the background.

And this was the scene at our downtown beach this morning as a brooding sky left over from Tropical Storm Trudy greeted Zihuatanejo's early risers.
