Hunter Mx snake Identification time again
While biking spotted a dark colored snake about 24 inches long. The snake had
red on the top of his head (yes it was a redhead), and 3/8 inch wide white bands about every 3-4 inches.

Back away from the ID's and leave it to the experts Keith!
My guess would be something like this? A harmless false cateyed snake, very common out here in the big T...

Then it would have been this one only without being smashed all over the road. Would love an opportunity to photo a live one...
This is a true cateyed snake, not as common as the other...

here is a live juvenile, they get the red head as they mature.
