Sunday Night Fashion

We had a very pleasant evening last night. We went to the basketball court, of course. The girls taking tumbling and gymnastics were giving a recital. Very sweet. Many proud parents and grandparents taking pictures. Same the world over.
We left for a little dinner and when we came back, we saw a remarkable fashion show. A parade of formal wear, dresses and tuxes, made entirely of recycled materials. Black plastic garbage bags. Newspapers. Magazine pages. The clothes were absolutely fabulous. The young people modeling were beautiful. And it was a great plug for recycling.
Kudos to the aspiring gymnasts and tomorrow's designers, models and conservationists. And to another lovely Sunday night.
Oh we would have love to have seen this. Any pictures?

Nowadays in USA tumbling is long gone from PE classes because of liability issues, which is so unfortunate because it really helps kids develop their senses of spatial awareness and orientation.
And I love the fashion show! The school district from which I retired a few years ago has a long-running recycled fashion show which is one of the biggest hits of the year.

Alas, guys. No photos. We came unprepared and you would have needed better tfelephoto equipment than we have. I hope the clothes are somewhere. They ought to be shown.
