Looking for a dictionary

Has anyone seen a spanish/english dictionary for sale in town? Nothing big or fancy - a pocket size one would be best

It' s a sad but not unusal story. A young friend of ours is going to work in LA , leaving her small children here, so that she can send money to support them and their grandma. She has very little english and wants to start studying.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Commercial Mexicana usually has them, and any papeleria near a school will have one. (try the one behind the school that is behind the archeology museum.)

I would suggest English/Spanish LAROUSSE POCKET Dictionary.
It was very very useful for me when started to study the language.
Has a good number of translations, pronunciation symbols, and more.
It's the cheapest I know (about MXN $70.00 pesos)

TeTe's on Calle Palapa, across the street from ScotiaBank, and down just a tiny bit has Larouse Spanish/English dictionaries. I would suggest avoiding buying one at La Comercial. The books there are really expensive!
