another restaurant question
Several years ago we frequented a restaurant in the La Madera neighborhood called La Casa Vehia?? By chance is it still up and running. Food was good??

I haven't eaten there for several months, but it is still there and the food is still delicious.
Not sure if they are still having a noise problem with their neighbors in the evenings, but we enjoyed the singers during our afternoon meal.

Thanks Rob for the quick reply. I did not see it on your restaurant list. We arrive the 17th for 4 +weeks staying in Ixtapa since 1993 but spending equal time in zihua and laropa.Have many restaurant friends in both ixtapa and zihua. Weather here is very frigid -5 to -10 BELOW F. Zihuantejo,Mexico can't come soon enough.

Oops! Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I had delisted them when they were being bad neighbors, but I have happily added them back to my list of recommended restaurants.
Days are plenty warm to be sure. But it was a bit nipper here last night. Had to turn the ceiling fan on low and sleep under the bedsheet. Brrrr!

Rub it in about how cold it is there at night. Most of the States has a Artic cold front moving through.

La Casa Vieja noise issues.....

Last year, as you mentioned, was ugglyfuggly loud until 3-4AM mostly on the weekends at Casa Vieja. Some condo owners paid them a visit several times over this and eventually they got the picture we think. So far this season they have been great neighbors.

La Casa Vieja still has a marvellous Sunday morning brunch buffet featuring about 10 local specialties, plus custom-made omelettes. There are also fresh juices, baked goods and cereals, yogurt, etc. All this for $140 pesos (slight increase from last year, but still a bargain).
