Zihuatanejo - the song

We've heard at least three entirely different songs with the title "Zihuatanejo".

Check YouTube for:

---"Zihuatanejo" sung by Los Hermanos Morelos

---"Zihuatanejo" written a few years ago by Josie Kuhn. YouTube shows her
singing with Juanito Zihua, who provides the Spanish lyrics.

The third "Zihuatanejo" we've heard, ( as sung by Roberto, Miguel and Edgar, the trio currently drawing appreciative fans to El Marlin on Wednesdays and to Restaurant Arena on Saturdays), is my personal favourite, mentioning many of the local landmarks: Las Gatas, Almacen, Gaviotas, Playas La Ropa and La Madera, etc.

How many places can claim to have at least three songs written for, and about them?

Yep music is a big part of Mexico and Z. I love hearing what I believe is the original from the Wandering Musicians around town. And Josie's is very good as is the CD.
