This is the absolute BEST time of year to be here: the period between Semana Santa and the rainy season. The kids are in school. There are no crowds. We have the beaches to ourselves, and the water temperature is just right for swimming. No waiting for a table at any local restaurants, and most all of the local lodgings have lowered their rates. Coconuts abound for drinking and it's mango season! My favorite fruit!

Fine, those are good reasons, but when does it start to cool down?! Rain, please, anyone? More or less...?

We had rain in Zihua this year in Dec., Jan., Feb, March, and I don't remember about April this year. It should start to rain in June or July and we can have a little rain all the way through till it the rainy season is over. Is that confusing enough for you?
