Yep, just in time. I walked down to the canal and the beach to check things out. The canal looks fine. The break in the rain spares downtown from flooding, but the rocks and mud were washing down the hillsides when we drove back from Ixtapa a few hours ago when the rain was just beginning. I hate to think of what's happening to the La Ropa road. The waves are a no show so far. Everything good at the beach so far, so that's another bit of good news. It's the southwest quadrant of the storm that may pack the worst punch when it passes.
