Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa Message Board - Adios a Doña Aurora

With a very heavy heart I sadly report that Doña Aurora, Doro's mother and the owner of Mango's restaurant, passed on today. She is one of the old original families, born and raised here in Zihuatanejo. A person with wonderful family values who helped generations of zihuatanejenses with her kindness and her example.

Thanks so much for posting about Aurora, Rob. I was unable to do so today when Yanet let me know, as I was on the road. Aurora and I have been friends for many years and I was dreading this day. Lupita and I both visited with her one day before I left for Florida. She was very glad to see us but very tired. She was a special lady and I will miss her greatly.
