New restaurant review- Sixtino's aka Pepe's Place

Where the very popular La Casa Cafe was is now a great little place for both light simple meals (tacos/burgers) and more standard fare (various seafood). On Adelita, sometimes called "gormet alley", that runs along the canel's south side. My wife who always uses pulpo as the benchmark of a restaurant says this ranks #1. Closed Tuesdays Bad photos (sorry) but great eatery.

I'll second that. Was there a couple weeks ago, and thought food, service and facilities very nice.

Sixtinos is the new name for Fortinos. Used to be downtown. Always had good food.

Sixtinos is the new name for Fortino's. Used to be downtown. Always had good food.
And since we mentioned Fortinos, on the 16th of April CHENDO'S will be moving to the location on Juan N. Alvarez that used to be home for Fortino's. Chendo's has not been happy with their new location since they had to move from La Noria. I will post more about the move at a later date.
Sixtino's and Chendo's both have great food.

That's great news. It's a good location for them. But as I recall, that room was very small when it was Fortino's. Are they expanding the space any?
