Many of the listings here offer discounts during Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa's traditionally slow season from mid-April to the end of November, which more or less corresponds to our rainy season. However, our rainy season is NOT a monsoon season. It does not rain every day. Simply put, the "rainy season" simply refers to the period of the year, roughly from late May to late October when, after about 7 months of NO rain we get SOME rain. It is a beautiful time of year to be here to enjoy the tropical greenery that blooms and flourishes during this period.
