Puerta Del Sol restaurant
I was taking a friend out for dinner Saturday and decided to try this place as I had walked by it countless times and was curious about it as I had noticed the kitchen staff is all female and they seem fairly busy. I had also seen a good review of the place on here before.
I went in the afternoon and got a reservation for the evening. We showed up and it took a while for someone to actually greet us and get us to out table. Then it took forever for someone to take our drinks order. There was about people in the room and it seemed staffed properly so I was wondering. Then our food order was taken and my friend ordered a glass of white wine with her entree and it is brought while we are still sipping our margaritas and the food is not even there yet and as it is warming up and we are still waiting for the appetizers, she had to ask the bartender if he could keep it in his fridge until our entrees arrive. We then get our appetizers and they got mine wrong.I had ordered their cold soup, the avocado soup and they got it quickly but it came straight out of the fridge and too cold and no taste. We then received our main meal which was a fish filet in green sauce. It was good but the portions were really small and at 260 pesos I thought it was a rip off as I got better fish and was nicer servings at El Manglar for half the price. We had flan for dessert and it was very good and the highlight of the meal.
All in all, a disappointing meal and not a place I could recommend as for the price there is much better and the view is so-so as the view of the bay is mostly obstructed.
