Will cafe Marina be open is September? Trying to plan my breakfast restaurants ahead of my trip. If not, what might be open in September that is good? Thanks guys!
Margaritas has great food, attractive architecture and competent staff. Located next door to Casa Vieja, which we really like for dinner.
Some options

We all have our favorites, but Bananas on Calle Nicolas Bravo near Benito Juarez which has great authentic Mexican, or American style breakfasts is mine. They also have pictures of old Zihua on the tropically painted walls that are great fun to look at. Dona Liche, near Kioto Circle is another local favorite for well priced, no frills, good food.
Sabores y Calores on Cuahtemoc (sp?) across from the library, or Mito's, on the corner of Cuahtemoc and Ejido have more upscale breakfasts, more in the line of frostbite's recommendation of Margarita's.

Best breakfast in town and watching the local fisherman bring in and sell their catch ... nothing like Café Marina. Joey says he is staying open all summer this year for the first time. I hope he gets lots of business so he will do it every year!!

And if you get there and he happens to be closed or so full you can't get a seat...just walk on down to Casa Elvira's. it is half a block down the way and they have good breakfast also. You will not go hungry in Zihua.
