My husband and I visited Barra de Potosí where we ate at "La Teresita" both last year and this year. This past February, we attended a Sunday dinner in celebration of a baptism of the infant daughter of a friend of ours. The custom of "bolo" was fun to observe. People throw handfuls of coins into the air and children and adults alike scramble to retrieve them from the ground.

Potosí, according to my Pequeño Larousse Ilustrado diccionario/encliclopedia defines Potosí as (fig.) riqueza extraordinaria= Extraordinary richness/wealth.

I, too, learned something.

Thanks for your response,

Lani
