As of today, since April 18, 2020 Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 2,284 confirmed cases of Covid-19 (6 more than yesterday), 187 that have resulted in fatalities, 45 that are currently active, and approximately 1,907 that have recovered. Still looking like a bump, not a spike. La Unión currently reports 3 active cases and Petatlán 1. I'm guessing the vaccination process went well in La Unión and in Petatlán as well as the rest of the Costa Grande, though I haven't seen any news reports or posts on their respective government social media pages.

Our local government tore up a small sitting wall it had built around the last almendra tree in Plaza del Artista and tore down the tree today. I cannot support a government that doesn't respect agreements it makes and doesn't respect nature. Surely the Paseo del Pescador could've been "remodeled" without killing beloved, old and iconic trees and turning green areas into tons of hot cement under a tropical sun. Bummer!

Amazingly we are still enjoying some of the best weather of the entire Pacific Coast of Mexico. Nice refreshing evenings, and warm sunny days but not too hot. Just PERFECT!

Oh! Muy modern! - Normally there would be some tall palm trees visible in the background to give a tropical look to this scene, but they were all recently murdered by an arrogant government.
