Went swimming in La Madera Friday afternoon/evening - the waves are down and the water is cooler. Past the surf line, if you drop your feet down the water's cold!

That's good news! The other day when I was trying to rescue baby sea turtles (more hatched safely last night and the night before), someone in the water said they felt cool water, but when I felt the water it was warm. But that explains it. It's still seeping in, as is also apparent on the maps showing the ocean water temperature on my WEATHER page. You can see where cooler water is creeping up along the coast from a short ways southeast of us. Hope we don't go through a red tide event.
