Calor ZIHn Tregua
The high heat index and humidity continue this Saturday. It feels like at least 40°C most of the day, and there doesn't appear to be any relief coming in the form of rain until possibly Monday or Tuesday.
No new information on the disappearance of Alex Serna. The family isn't talking, and no body has been identified; otherwise, they would be holding a velorio and funeral service where hundreds of Alex's friends and followers would be. A kidnapping is possible. So many new media sources are all saying he's dead and openly blaming the mayor that it looks like a concerted AI campaign of disinformation. I'll await more solid information than simply the CODEHUM Guerrero statement.
A smattering of tourism was in town today, and local shops and restaurants enjoyed a few clients. Apparently there was an LGBTQ parade, but I missed the notification.
Around 35 years or so ago there used to be a big yearly 4th of July celebration at the Hotel Sheraton (now Barceló) on the beach in Ixtapa for folks from the USA where they could bring their family and friends. They had grilled hot dogs and plenty of beer and a good fireworks show. Too bad the then-governor of Guerrero, Rubén Figueroa, threatened the Sheraton's manager, Bob Neiderhauser, so he had to leave the country (even though he was born here). The 4th of July celebrations ended after that, and there's been nothing like it since. So happy day to those of you celebrating despite the ongoing ethnic cleansing and fascist takeover. I hear folks against fascism are now considered terrorists by the U.S. government. Incredible.
Sorry to see Canada and Paraguay beaten today. Two more American teams down. It's our turn this Sunday at 6PM against England. ¡PONTE LA VERDE!
