When I returned to Anchorage from Syria, there was a lady on the plane with all kinds of home-made stuff from Serbia, including a bottle of Slivovits (plum brandy). When the customs guy said she couldn't bring it in, she broke down in tears. The customs agent felt sorry for her and said she could eat and drink whatever she could right there. She invited all to participate and we had a great old time. I had quite the buzz from the slivovitz and my wife was not amused when she picked me up.
