Colbert's show was cancelled primarily due to economics. The show was losing CBS $40M A YEAR. A bloated payroll of over 100 writers? Whether is was funny or not doesn't really matter here. If people are turning off, you don't get to keep your job.

Yeah, that's the BS corporate excuse and I'm sorry to see you buy it. The show was in fact making money, just not as much as in previous years due to changing viewing habits. The replacement show certainly is not drawing a larger audience or more revenue. We all know the reason it was cancelled was because CBS-Paramount wanted to merger with Skydance Media, which meant they needed the Pedo-in-Chief's FCC approval, and this was the price of approving the merger by his criminal regime. It was the most popular of all the late-night shows. Now CBS has simply lost a larger section of their viewer audience along with whatever remaining respect they enjoyed. If they thought they were losing money before, they ain't seen nothing yet. Bari Weiss has been the worst thing to ever happen to CBS.

Friday morning wasn't as uncomfortable as the previous day. The humidity wasn't quite as high, and some cloud cover kept the temperature a bit milder during the morning. the heat continues in our region while much of the rest of Guerrero is enjoying at least some precipitation.

Cars and busloads of families began showing up early. They flocked to the beaches and enjoyed the waterfront restaurants around Zihuatanejo's bay. Of course, as always, many bring their own food and drinks and only consume the minimum at beachfront restaurants in order to be able to enjoy their chairs and shade.

Last night's finale of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was historic, quite moving and infuriating at the same time, much moreso than when the Smothers Brothers were also cancelled for censorship. Glad I got to watch the Beatles debut in the Ed Sullivan Theater as well as Paul turning off the lights for the last show I'll ever watch on CBS or Paramount. Shameful for CBS. So sad to watch the USA sink to such depths under a blatantly criminal regime.

This Friday evening is the first of several warm-up games for Mexico's national fútbol team as they play Ghana. All across Mexico and beyond Mexicans will be watching and cheering on their national team. I believe I heard that we'll be the only country to have hosted the World Cup three times. So if you hear groups of people shouting, don't be alarmed.
