As of today, since April 18, 2020 Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 2,193 confirmed cases of Covid-19 (3 more than yesterday), 180 that have resulted in fatalities, 26 that are currently active, and approximately 1,846 that have recovered. While a date has not been announced, Zihuatanejo is next on the list of communities in Guerrero to receive vaccines for people over 60 and the remaining medical community. According to the Presidente de la República, the military will participate in vaccinating people, which should help get folks vaccinated more quickly and efficiently.

People are already showing up, and tomorrow is traditionally the day when things start getting crazy. We'll see. Unfortunately I'm hearing that reservations for sportfishing aren't what they should be for this time of year.
