It has always been a puzzle to me why the 43 students from Iguala were abducted and murdered. This article details that the students were mistaken for members of a rival drug cartel. The U.S. government finally released tens of thousands of text messages between drug dealers, local authorities, and the military. Very sad and chilling.

Nothing that hasn't been known by the people of Guerrero since the day of their abduction. Things here are actually much worse than the article reveals.
And absolutely nothing of substance has changed in Guerrero since then. Nothing. However, we now have more police posing for photos just like the politicians.
Over 100 people have been jailed for the incident, so it isn't correct to say "no one has been convicted of the crime".
