Mucha Actividad ZIHsmica

"Isn't it odd that Acapulco, with a population 10 or 15 times that of Zihua's, always has far fewer COVID cases? Put another way, a small city with 2 or 3 % of Guerrero's population has 28% of the current COVID cases."

That's the stupid thing about these statistics--they never say how many people were tested.

People are tested when they show up ill at a local clinic or doctor's office. Nothing stupid about it. Sometimes there are more ill showing up in Acapulco, sometimes in Zihuatanejo. Drawing any conclusion on the # of positive results from the # of people tested is what appears stupid to me. There's just no need to go around testing healthy people. Except for the pandemia rules by the airlines testing everyone who wanted to fly, it's been a huge difference between Mexico and the USA/Canadian approach since the pandemic began.
