Bringing My Dog Back to Mexico

I moderate a RVing in Mexico forum. LOTS of dogs and cats, and other pets crossing regularly, and flying in. The correct one is the one that says you don't need a health certificate, just a healthy pet. This one: Export of dogs and cats to Mexico

Good for you for being adopted by a dog! We understand your concern. Many years ago we were about to enter Belize, and they said at the border they would inspect our dog, and if she didn't pass, they would hold her in quarantine. We decided we didn't really want to cut through Belize, and went to another border crossing direct with Guatemala.

Others will tell you that they have always traveled with a health certificate, and it gets looked at. What is really important is to have what the airlines want, and they always want more than Mexico does.

Our 9 month old gets spayed tomorrow, and we are a bundle of nerves!!!! Shouldn't be, but are.

Happy travels.
