I am always troubled by the preponderance of gringo music down here. I am guilty of it myself by co-hosting karaoke for Jagger and Richards’ 80th birthday parties but that is a once in a lifetime experience. I regularly hire the local strolling musicians to play Mexican music. Why can’t people take a vacation from CCR etc and explore a new culture? As for gringo women going “ba ba baa” during Sweet Caroline ……. Aaaaggghhhhh

I wish I could remember the name of the book I read about Mexican music - very enlightening.
