Humidity and smoke are clinging to much of the Costa Grande of Guerrero while showers are expected in the sierra and Tierra Caliente. Some forecasts even show us getting a little rain. Ya never know! It was another hot day here but with a nice breeze along the beaches. The tourists at Playa Principal spent much of the day in the water and trying to find a shady spot on the beach.

There's a fire in the sierra of Zihuatanejo threatening the region of Mesas de Bravo. Unfortunately the local authorities are apparently too involved in political campaigns to send help to the local people fighting the fire. A damn shame.

Local political campaigns came to an end today, thank goodness! The media coverage highly favored the folks who habitually pay off the media. But to hear people talk, the overwhelming majority seem anxious to put an end to the blatant corruption they perceive by one of the older political parties. We should know by the end of the day this coming June 2 who our newly elected representatives are in most cases, except where races are tight, and that could take an extra day or two.

This Sunday night is the final soccer match in the Liga MX, so except for the political rallies, expect streets to be mostly empty, and expect to hear loud cheers of ¡GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!

Una banda de chile frito acompaña una callejoneada llevado a cabo por parte del ayuntamiento. Llegaron a Plaza del Artista donde unas parejas de la Tercera Edad estaban bailando danzón, algo que hacen todos los viernes, pero ellos tuvieron que detenerse por no poder oír su música debido a que la banda de chile frito empezó a tocar su música al llegar a la plaza. Una falta de respeto por parte del ayuntamiento.
