forgot where they came from?

David Brooks succinctly stated it in his opinion piece in todays NY Times. The Democrats over the years have more and more represented the college educated people on both coasts and not the person whose work did not revolve around pixels. Trump appealed to the people who twist wrenches or mop floors for a living and recognized in 2016 that they were not being given due attention. As frustration continued to build within this group they gravitated more to the Republican party. It's mind boggling how all the many polls did not pick up on this result.

I would be pretty pissed if I were a mega democratic donor right now.

I don't disagree. But it apparently hasn't mattered that Biden's administration has done more, in four years, to address the systemic problems behind the average voter's anger than any of the recent Democratic administrations. Expecting Republicans to right the ship? Folly. Where was the rebirth under Reagan or the two Bushes? And even more ridiculous, to expect Trump - a seriously damaged individual - to lead that rebirth? Absolute folly.

I agree with you 100%. Joe Biden was the first president to stand with a picket line. All Republicans have done is try to destroy Unions and workers' rights.
