Oh, those Irish are too literate and they use too many big words for the simple-minded cult followers. All that goes right over their pointy little heads. But I'm seeing similar all over the world, except in Russia where they're ecstatic that the guy "on their side" won.

Lots of words accurately describe Trump. Since 2015/6 (actually, since whenever the creep started gracing the pages of the yellow press decades ago), my favourite has been "despicable". However, Robert Reich's Substack post today uses "loathsome" and I'm going to stick with that.

As for Russia and Ukraine, Trump promises to end their war "within 24 hours, because I know exactly how to speak to both of them." Comforting words.
Trump's "peace proposal" will have Putin keeping all of the territory he has already occupied, including the Crimea.....and a promise that Ukraine will never join NATO.....and when Zelensky objects to giving up a third of Ukraine and Ukrainian sovereignty, Trump will use Ukraine's "refusal to settle for peace" as the excuse to stop any further aid to Ukraine.
Next stop for Putin? Who knows?
(I tried using the word for the tiny country that borders Ukraine to the south: begins with the letter "M", and rhymes with "Nova" but it errored. Someone doesn't like M - - d - v a.)
