Nervous in WI but ...

We stayed at Catalina Beach Resort way back 2017! But oh... our 3rd stay and my absolute fave place. So obv question: is it safe?? Can we fly in and get a taxi to the resort etc... I dont even need to go into town lol.. but convincing my husband is something else. But any insights would be nice thx

My wife and I walk everywhere. We don't own a car and we try to avoid taking (for us) expensive taxis. In that respect, it's the same Zihuatanejo as always. I don't know why you would avoid coming into downtown Zihuatanejo. It's our home and we love it. It's extremely rare for tourists or anyone to get robbed here. What crime we do have almost never involves our visitors unless they leave things that look valuable in their cars when they go to the beach or shopping, like anywhere.
