Phone dialing

Are you calling from an American or Mexican cell phone? If you have an American phone, you should probably just get a SIM card from a local vendor so that you won't get hit with roamng charges which can be pretty expensive. I think, but do not know for sure, that if it is an American phone, you would dial just as if you were calling Mexico from the states. (I'm sure that someone will correct me if I'm wrong.)
