Living in Zihua in the rainy season

We have lived here for 6 years and we usually go away for part of the rainy season. Generally the first rain comes anywhere after the middle of May but can come quite a bit later. It tends to be very hot and humid until the rains begin. When the rain starts it is always in the middle of the night accompanied by spectacular thunder and lightning. It only rains every several days getting more frequent as the season progresses but seldom any rain during the day until September.
We have found that May and October are the most unbearable months to be here but we like the summers.
