CelebraZIHones Anunciadas
Locals and visitors were treated to yet another absolutely picture-postcard-perfect day in Zihuatanejo and along the Costa Grande of Guerrero this Wednesday. While further down the coast the cleanup from Huracán John continues, we continue thanking our lucky stars that we didn't suffer much damage other than mostly some downed trees and a few damaged pangas. But hurricane season isn't over yet, so it's no time to let our guard down.
And because it is still rainy season, there are plenty of mosquitos around. The city hasn't been spraying like they're supposed to do, and dengue is widespread in the community. So use repellent if you plan on sitting outdoors in areas where there are mosquitos. They don't call it the "bone-crushing disease" for nothing.
You'll find the schedule of events for Halloween and Día de Muertos on my Community Notices & Events page.
If you'd like to ride around the bay at 6:30 P.M. during the evening of October 31st in one of the pangas for the Desfile de Lanchas Iluminadas, get your tickets at the ticket window at the pier for $180 per person.
Enjoy all the comforts of a resort hotel and the privacy of a luxury condo at Tesoro Ixtapa Penthouse 612. A 2-bedroom private penthouse overlooking Ixtapa's El Palmar Beach with a panoramic view from every room and the terrace. Easy walking distance to excellent dining and shopping.
