Residents and visitors to Zihuatanejo were treated to another day of absolutely picture-postcard-perfect weather. While Monday night was a little cooler than the previous night, high clouds blew in and helped keep the temps mild. The breeze felt great all day, and after sunset we could feel a slight nip in the air promising perfect sleeping weather. From sunup to sundown, locals smile and heave big sighs for apparently no reason at all. Part of the magic of Mexico. A place I'm proud to live and to be a citizen of.

If you can't locate your local veterinarian, they may be out of town for the nationwide strike and march in Mexico City to call for justice after a veterinarian was murdered allegedly by an irate family after trying unsuccessfully to save their pet's life. Hopefully the Fiscal will file charges and go after the responsible party, but until they do the veterinarians may remain on the streets in Mexico City for a while.

There was quite a crowd of foreigners dancing and enjoying themselves at Daniel's Restaurant this evening when we strolled by. The bar and beach palapa were full, and the dancers took up half of the walkway. Locals were enjoying watching them since it's a totally different dance style and beat than what we're used to.

I'm not sure if the Danzón dancers will be in Plaza del Artista this Wednesday evening or not. I haven't seen any of them since last Wednesday to ask them about any new arrangement. I hope they'll be here. Their music is some of my favorite, and many of us enjoy watching them dance and pass along part of our culture to a younger generation.
