Future of tourism in Mexico

I tried to post a reply under a comment and it kept putting it under Labrats. Just because some of use stay in Ixtapa does not mean we do AI and we also venture in to Zihua. This is our last year at our timeshare (which we do not do AI) and we were looking forward to booking places in Zihautanejo but unfortunately we are not in many peoples class that are on this board and may not be able to afford airfare. Owning a timeshare at Pacifica that I bought on Ebay forced us to save the money to actually go. We love the area liked it even more before all the timeshare hawks. I had a old classmate who booked 2 years ago and hated it. Apparently it rained the whole time. We have had a couple sprinkles one time the day we were leaving. And yes every year we have people question us if we are sure we want to go because of all the bad reports. Of course we do! Let's face it if we end up paying $1600.00 in airfare we're pretty close to getting an AI some where else for maybe a thousand more. Not into the AI always wanted to support the local places but Zihu will either lose or only be for people with money. Which is very sad because we truly love the area.
