Crocodile capture

Have they posted signs letting the reptiles know what ares are not for them!! Lol

Unfortunately they do have to be relocated, whether it is a safer and more natural place is up to the agencies that deal with this.

To my knowledge there has never been a croc attack in Zihuatanejo Bay. So why do they need to be relocated? And each and every local attack that I have ever heard about has been for not respecting one of the 3 rules above with the exception of an incident at Marina Ixtapa where, in violation of the posted rules, a young man was cleaning his boat's hull during the season when crocs are protective of their nests, and he got a little nip for his his troubles. If Tamakún hadn't been trying to remove a croc from its natural habitat at Playa Linda the other day he wouldn't have been bitten either.

I spent many years in Florida living in close proximity with gators. Never lost a cat or dog. Never been attacked. Never had one enter our yard. But there was this rather stupid retiree on Sanibel Island who used to think it was cute to feed the gators, always clapping first to "call" them, so that when anyone clapped within earshot of one of those gators they would come looking for food.

In my opinion and from my experience, the best policy is always to leave them alone unless of course they need to be removed from your pool or yard. Then they should be moved to an estuary that does not cause them additional stress beyond the move itself.
