The democratic party officials who helped anoint Kamala with no public input have only themselves to blame for yesterday's result. God save the USA, we will need a lot of help in the next 4 years!

What would you have done given the extraordinary circumstances? The primary process was long finished. I have my own ideas but they are all moot now.

The extraordinary circumstances you refer to were the result of our democratic leaderships gross negligence and partially our own fault for ignoring the obvious and not pressuring our leadership to right the ship before it was too late. We allowed our leaders to gaslight us until it was too late to select any candidate other than Kamala Harris. We let them tell us that Biden was sharp as a tack, could outwork everyone around him and had no cognitive issues what so ever. This was demonstrably false on all levels and clearly apparent to anyone watching videos of Biden in the last two years. So we were left with a candidate who was so unpopular to Democrats that she had to drop out of the 2020 primaries two months before voting even began while 15 Democrats remained. As Democrat voters we need to take responsibility for this fiasco, find new leadership and figure out how to right the ship. Calling Trump a Fascist, Racist, and Dictator while relying on the Cheneys of all people for support certainly is not a winning strategy.

Oh bullsh¡t. The criminal Orange Turd insurrectionist is all those things and worse. This is the result of low-information voters, racists, bigots, Fox News and Putin, who is celebrating his victory today. HATE & EVIL won the day. Trump IS a fascist. For those who voted for the Orange Turd, I can't wait to hear their excuses when things get worse, inflation skyrockets, the recession Biden managed to avoid happens, and the USA becomes a world pariah (again and permanently). Racists, bigots, misogynists and other self-centered assh0les won. Decency lost. The entire former Cabinet of the Orange Turd warned voters not to allow him back in power, and of course Fox News never reported it, so this is the result. And today's youth are so emotionally fragile and useless there won't be any backlash, just quiet acquiescence as they slide back into their online fantasy world and get on with playing games and living their phony online lives.
