Oh, those Irish are too literate and they use too many big words for the simple-minded cult followers. All that goes right over their pointy little heads. But I'm seeing similar all over the world, except in Russia where they're ecstatic that the guy "on their side" won.

Lots of words accurately describe Trump. Since 2015/6 (actually, since whenever the creep started gracing the pages of the yellow press decades ago), my favourite has been "despicable". However, Robert Reich's Substack post today uses "loathsome" and I'm going to stick with that.

As for Russia and Ukraine, Trump promises to end their war "within 24 hours, because I know exactly how to speak to both of them." Comforting words.
Trump's "peace proposal" will have Putin keeping all of the territory he has already occupied, including the Crimea.....and a promise that Ukraine will never join NATO.....and when Zelensky objects to giving up a third of Ukraine and Ukrainian sovereignty, Trump will use Ukraine's "refusal to settle for peace" as the excuse to stop any further aid to Ukraine.
Next stop for Putin? Who knows?
(I tried using the word for the tiny country that borders Ukraine to the south: begins with the letter "M", and rhymes with "Nova" but it errored. Someone doesn't like M - - d - v a.)

Yes, the future U.S. president is in the pocket of Putin and his oligarch pals. No doubt about that. But because Fox News never reported it, the cult won't believe it.

Mexico's president knows well how to handle the narcissist, but there's probably nothing she can do to keep his new playmate Elon Musk, also a Putin stooge, from withdrawing the Tesla plant he was going to build near Monterrey, Nuevo León because of the promised tariffs.

On a side note, one hysterical thing that's been going down is the reaction of cult followers when they actually learn what tariffs are. The idiots all thought other countries were going to pay them. Another big OOPS. All roads in the coming administration lead to Russia, while the USA is about to ruin its own booming economy, an economy that Joe Biden built back up after the Insurrectionist left it in shambles, as every Republican administration since Reagan has done, in favor of a few billionaires.
