The AI's are not going away, the local business have to not try and compete with them, offer more service good prices an experience.
When Walmart came to Canada some tried to compete and failed, some chose to offer what Walmart could not supply and that was service, service service, good products at a fair price. The AI's have all the free food, same old, day in and day out, watered down drinks etc etc
Come on Ixtapa and zihua retailers and restaurants show the tourists how Mexico really is. After all a tourist is looking for an experience and a good one that they can share with friends and family.
