There are no federal politicians in the US who are Marxists.They might have studied Marxist political and economic theory. But that doesn’t mean they adopted it.

There are none who are socialists.

Even Bernie Sanders could not be considered a democratic socialist, or even a social democrat.

It seems that in the US, terms like Marxist and socialist are used as one-size-fits-all pejoratives with little understanding of their meaning.
