a lot of times the dire prediction given are exaggerated (sometime greatly) and that this is pick up by many for their marching orders and attack anyone who disagrees.

If you actually took a deep, objective dive into all this you'd find that the vast majority of predictions are coming true, though maybe not on the timeline that Gore suggested. And I'm curious about the phrase "marching orders". (Perhaps you can tell me why my check from George Soros hasn't yet arrived.) In my experience Liberals/Progressives/Democrats are far more likely to be independent thinkers than those on the right. The overwhelming majority of Republicans who still believe that Biden stole the 2020 election is a perfect example, one of many, of delusional groupthink.

And a disagreement isn't exactly an attack.
